To address the imperative of delivering housing for all South Africans, the country’s fragmented residential property sector must be transformed and unified.
RESIDE 2024 is spearheading this transformation under the theme ‘Transforming Spaces, Enriching Lives’ between the 16th and 19th of July at the Sandton Convention Centre.
As SA’s premier multisector conference dedicated to residential investment and development, this event unites industry stakeholders, to ignite critical conversations and drive actionable solutions to address the challenges and opportunities facing the sector. The Reside Summit is more than just a conference – it is a catalyst for crucial change in South Africa’s residential property landscape.
A key objective of the summit is to foster collaboration between governmental stakeholders and the private sector and break down barriers to residential development and investment. By bringing together key players from across the industry value chain, the summit aims to enable and incentivise private players to achieve housing for all, reduce development costs in the South African economy and enable swifter State approval of projects.
Following the enormous success of the inaugural event last year, the 2024 Reside Summit has been expanded and enhanced with the support of 35 industry bodies to date, each contributing a unique perspective. These include the Housing Development Agency, National Home Builders Registration Council, National Housing Finance Corporation, the Property Practitioners Regulatory Authority and the Social Housing Regulatory Authority.
