This course examines the application of management and finance theory to the acquiring, holding and disposing of space over time by the non-real estate firm. Topics will include: strategically aligning corporate real estate plans with core business plans; evaluating corporate real estate services staffing alternatives; examining changing configurations of workspace; estimating the cost/benefit of real estate alternatives; and discussing the role of sustainability and corporate social responsibility in real estate decisions.
