SAPOA: Application & Allocation of Discretionary Grants

The application window opened on 17 August 2016 and closes on 18 September 2016 at midnight. Member companies that are interested in applying for Discretionary Grants should keep these dates in mind. No late application will be considered.

Application is open to Services SETA levy paying and sector companies, NPOs, public institutions including TVET colleges and other organisations within the services sector.

There will be no negotiation with unsuccessful entities. However unsuccessful entities will receive a letter stating why they were unsuccessful.

Applications can only be done via the SETA grants online portal. All documents submitted online, will be audited by Services SETA.

No e-mailed / couriered applications will be accepted.

It is advisable to complete the application process at least 4 days prior to the closing date of 18 September 2016.

Any enquiries should be made prior to 9 September 2016.

The following interventions are targeted for 2016/17 Discretionary Grant allocations – these are:

– LP01 – Learnerships unemployed (18.2)

– LP02 – Learnerships employed (18.1)

– LP03 – Artisans: Apprenticeships leading to trade tests

– LP04 – Assessment and trade test

– LP05 – Internships: HET NQF 5 and above (Full Qualification)

– LP06 – Internships: Workplace experience TVET Nated Qualification (N6 only)

– LP07 – Internships: TVET post NCV and vocational qualification

– LP10 – Adult education and training
