South Africa 2017: The Impact of Mobile FinTech on Point of Sale
The use of mobile devices (watches, phones) to make payment at POS gives rise to a number of new considerations and amongst the challenges being faced is how does the retailer know that he has been paid? Automation of the process may also obviate the need for cashiers and tellers. Customers will also seek out an ease of check-out experience, taken to the extreme it will become seamless and goods will be charged as they are placed in the basket. Ian will also discuss Bitcoin, Cryptocurrency and the impact of the Blockchain and decentralized technology on your business.
