IEASA invites you to meet the Services Sector Education Training Authority [SSETA] team at a workshop to be held at the IEASA training centre on Thursday 20th April 2017.  eCertificates will be issued to all delegates – 2 points for non-verifiable Continuous Professional Development (CPD) and time will be allocated after the session for an extensive Q&As and one on one training at this session.

A Workplace Skills Plan [WSP] is a strategic document that articulates how the employer is going to address the training and development needs in the workplace.   An Annual Training Report [ATR] is an account of all training that has taken place in the reporting period within the organisation.  The deadline for submissions of WSP and ATR is 30th April 2017.

Mandatory Grants are set at 20% of your annual SDL levy which is accessible through the submission of WSP and ATR.  There are many types bursaries and learnership funding, financial benefits and incentives available within Property Sector and this two hour session will cover the essence of funding.   It is important that Business owners, managers and principals are aware that the Skills Development Levy [SDL] is payable once a payroll surpasses R500,000, per annum, including all salaries and commissions.  This information session will highlight skills development and delegates will gain a knowledge on:

  • Accredited national qualifications and the related tax deduction benefits.
  • How and when to submit for funding.
  • Unit standard aligned skills programmes, and their contribution to maximising B-BBEE points spend by category.
  • SETA grants, and other payroll tax deduction benefits through using skills development and training options.
  • Assistance to claim from the skills development levy [SDL], whether or not you pay into the fund.
