Why attend Discipline Right?

Discipline Right is a workshop designed to empower companies to handle the full disciplinary process and avoid potential problems.

CCMA referrals are costly and time consuming and are often the result of incorrect procedure. The workshop deals with discipline in the workplace and will educate employers on all aspects of the disciplinary process.

What the workshop covers – This one day workshop will be unpacked and delivered under the following themes:

  • What is discipline?
  • Why discipline is crucial?
  • Misconduct in the workplace.
  • Types of offences.
  • Types of disciplinary action.
  • Substantive and procedural fairness.
  • The disciplinary enquiry.
  • The importance of process, procedure and documentation.
  • Penalties for unfair dismissals.
  • How to investigate and prepare for disciplinary action.

The course will be open and interactive with case study discussions, questions and answers and it is designed to provide employers with the confidence and ability to act with assurance when confronted with a difficult situation.
