Ecolabels can have a remarkable impact on the market and make it easier for responsible products to get specified for building projects.
Ecolabels are an effective tool for product manufacturers to communicate the environmental sustainability of building materials, fittings, finishes and furnishings. Third-party certifiers of products and materials, such as an ecolabel, cover a variety of issues from sustainable forestry to the whole-of-life cycle. But are these designations useful? With the variety of environmental labels in the market, it can be confusing and difficult to know what they mean or whom to trust.
The goal of this event is to educate and inspire industry professionals around the responsible specifying of products. Join GreenED’s expert presenters as they unpack the practicalities of Ecolabels and offer examples of products that have been certified.
- Michelle Ludwig, Founder of Ludwig Design Consulting: ‘An overview of Ecolabels available globally and locally.’
