The City of Cape Town will be hosting another online meeting between 11:00am and 13:00pm on Thursday, the 22nd of October 2020 with residents and interested groups about the local spatial development framework or, local neighbourhood plan for District Six. This follows the well-attended introductory meeting in September.
The City is providing five available venues where residents can attend in person and who are required to RSVP before Tuesday, the 20th of October 2020 due to the preparation and implementation of Covid-19 health and safety protocols.
The venues will be the Council Chamber, Civic Centre, 12 Hertzog Boulevard; Subcouncil 16 Council Chambers, 44 Wale Street, CBD; Heideveld Community Centre, 41 Jonkershoek Way; Bonteheuwel Civic Centre, Corner Kiaat Road and Bluegum Street and Rocklands Civic Centre, Corner of Lancaster and Park Avenue.
The 2012 District Six Spatial Development Framework will form the basis of the upcoming workshops and the plan is available on the City’s website where it can be perused in advance.
The online presentations will be screened at the five venues.
Attendees at the venues are advised that the wearing of face masks is compulsory; temperature screening will be done on arrival; attendees will be required to complete a contact form and use hand sanitiser; and social distancing will be observed in line with COVID-19 health and safety protocols.
