Institute of Estate Agents
This IEASA-WC one-day workshop is designed to inform Intern Agents, Mentors and Principals on how to best prepare and complete the compulsory EAAB Logbook – Portfolio of Evidence [POE] during their 12 month Internship.
The logbook is a record of experiential workplace learning gained by the intern estate agent. It is intended to act as a guide to both the intern estate agent and the mentor/principal, as to what an intern should be doing during the 12 month internship period. Its underlying purpose is to ensure that intern estate agents are not consigned to the periphery of estate agency activities and that they emerge from the internship, as competent estate agents. This workshop will serve to demystify the processes for all.

These are the Projects the intern estate agent is expected to complete during the internship period, with the active inputs, guidance and advice of a mentor i.e.: principal/ mentor/ coach/ supervisor and signed-off by “the Principal” assigned to assist and provide the intern estate agent, with logistical support and to ensure the intern estate agent gathers relevant, naturally occurring evidence, as proof that he/she has gained the requisite practical experience.
The completed, signed-off, EAAB Logbook [POE] together with the FETC NQF4 Qualification – Certification, from the Services SETA and a minimum of twelve months internship, while holding a valid Fidelity Fund Certificate [FFC] is the entry criteria for applying to write the EAAB – Professional Designation Examination [PDE] – Open Book Examination, justifying an upgrade to full status agent.
