Valuation deadline approaches for Tshwane ratepayers

The City of Tshwane has completed a revaluation of properties for the 2025 to 2029 period with property rates set to increase from 1 July 2025.

For some, the new valuations might not reflect the actual market value of their property which means they could be overpaying on rates and taxes for years to come.

Property owners have until 2 May 2025 to review their updated valuations and to lodge objections with the municipality if they believe their property’s valuation is incorrect.

Lightstone is offering property owners and property professionals a reliable market estimate to support their valuation claim – the Property Value Buyer Report which can be purchased as a once-off on Lightstone’s website.

Property professionals can offer the Property Value Buyer Report to homeowners as a value-add for potential sellers and buyers. Lightstone Property Toolkit subscribers also have access to the report on Toolkit.

Lightstone is here to help property owners and property professionals in Tshwane to navigate this challenging period, one data-backed report at a time.
