National year-on-year house price inflation has risen slightly for the first time since 2021, reaching 2.64% according to the latest Lightstone Provincial Index.
The individual provinces are exhibiting diverse trends; KZN remains steady while Limpopo and Mpumalanga show increases while the Eastern Cape, Free State, Gauteng, North West, Northern Cape, and Western Cape have experienced decreases in annual property inflation.
The low value segment continues to outperform other segments with an annual inflation of 10.8% compared to 3.2% for mid-value properties, highlighting the ongoing demand for affordable housing options.
