The Johannesburg Development Agency (JDA) has started construction on the new Hikhensile Clinic on Lokologa Street, Ivory Park, Region A.
The old Hiksenile Clinic will be demolished to make way for a modern, R28 million state-of-the-art 2 173m² facility that will accommodate larger volumes of patients and provide a wider range of services including a 159-seat waiting area, sixteen private consultation rooms, a specialised treatment room, an isolation room, a resuscitation room, rehydration rooms, a blood room for sampling, testing, and storage, linen rooms, ablution facilities, and water storage tank.
The clinic will be developed in two phases with Phase 1 including the construction of a single-story structure featuring six consultation rooms, a counselling room, a vital room, a doctor’s room, and a social worker room as well as external works and necessary electrical and mechanical works.
