The Investor of the Year Awards (IOTY) 2024, powered by the South African Property Investor Network (SAPIN) and in partnership with ABSA, is calling on property investors nationwide.
The IOTY Awards is a platform created to celebrate property investors positively impacting South Africa’s property investment and development landscape – whether a portfolio with one investment deal or a solid history of many property deals, the awards are open to all South Africans over eighteen years old who believe they have what it takes to be the next top property investor.
In addition to the coveted title of Investor of the Year, category winners can look forward to a five-star holiday, electronic tablets, men’s and ladies’ watches and property investment coaching as some of the prizes for the nation’s top and most influential property investors.
“The Investor of the Year Awards celebrates the tenacity and boldness of investors in the high-stakes field of property investment recognising their achievements in creating wealth in a creative and impactful manner. The event also provides a unique opportunity for attendees to network with their peers and learn from seasoned property investment professionals. We want to encourage all South African property investors to enter the awards ceremony no matter their progress level to give their journey the boost it needs,” says Andrew Walker, CEO and Founder of the SA Property Investors Network.
Over the next eight months the team at the SA Property Investors Network will embark on a nationwide search for the entrants to the Investor of the Year Awards 2024 who will undergo a rigorous judging process in the hopes of making it as a finalist.
“We are challenging the misconception that property investment is exclusively for the affluent. We have witnessed numerous investors starting their investment journey with minimal resources growing a multi-million-rand property investment portfolio. Wealth is grown using property investment strategies undergirded by the right education and a strong network, and support team. The IOTY Awards are a testament to these opportunities and achievements,” he adds.
This year’s award categories include:
- Beginner Category: For those embarking on their property investment journey.
- Intermediate: Aimed at investors managing a growing portfolio of two or more properties.
- Big Leagues: Tailored for investors venturing into Development or Commercial Spaces.
Sub-categories for consideration include:
- Youth: For investors under the age of 35.
- Green: Projects demonstrating a positive environmental impact.
- Social Change: Portfolios contributing to positive social change.
- Most Innovative: Portfolios showcasing a high level of innovation.
- SAPIN Women: Celebrating women’s contribution to property investment.
- Township: Managed within Township communities.
- Inner City: Investments within Inner City spaces.
