During Q2 2023, South Africa’s office vacancy rate improved once again after peaking at a new all-time high of 16.7% in Q2 2022.
According to the SAPOA Office Vacancy Survey, the overall vacancy rate at quarter end was 15.6% – down 20 basis points quarter-on-quarter.
This survey sample comprised of 3 026 office assets across 54 nodes and 19 million square meters of gross lettable area (GLA) including developments currently under construction.
