SAIBPP CEO, Vuyiswa Ramokgopa, resigns

South African Institute of Black Property Practitioners (SAIBPP) CEO, Vuyiswa Ramokgopa, has announced her resignation in pursuit of furthering her academic studies and business interests.

Having joined the organisation in 2015, she played a critical role in the organisation’s growth and expansion.

During her seven-year tenure, she:

  • Launched the SAIBPP bursary fund, raising in excess of R8 million in funding.
  • Assisted with the establishment of the SAIBPP student chapters at Wits, UJ, UP, and UL, as well as the SAIBPP Young Professionals Forum and Women’s Forum.
  • Grew the organisation’s membership by c.220%.
  • Assisted with the development of the SAIBPP Enterprise Development and Market Access Programme, SAIBPP Connect.
  • Contributed to the revised Property Management Empowerment Policy which was signed in 2018.
  • Lobbied for Management Control to become a priority pillar in the revised Property Sector Charter Codes and inputting to the overall revised property sector codes.
  • Co-authored the Property Practitioners Regulations.
  • Contributed to the Final Report of the Presidential Advisory Panel on Land Reform (May 2019).
  • Launched SAIBPP’s research committee and producing the Property Sector Inclusion Index (to be officially released in July 2022).

Vuyiswa will remain a member of the board and continue to support the team in a non-executive capacity during the transition period.
