Joburg’s Media Mill office block is being sectionalised into units for sale

In a bold move, spurred on by high demand from current tenants and the industry at large, the owners of Media Mill, a 6 379m2 commercial hub located next to 44 Stanley in Johannesburg, have partnered with Galetti Corporate Real Estate to sectionalise and to sell of units in this iconic office block.

The precinct, housing an array of tenants predominantly in the creative industry, was converted from an old flour mill to offices in the early 2000s.

With a big push to return to the office, the owners of the Media Mill have taken a flexible and collaborative approach to this sale. The units range from 100m2 to 2800m2 and provide investors with a rare opportunity to claim their stake in prime Johannesburg commercial real estate”, comments John Jack, CEO of Galetti. “Property prices range anywhere from R663 000 to R9 million – depending on the buyers’ requirements”.

The property consists of the Anchor, Dispatch, Glass, Restaurant and M&G buildings as well as 214 parking bays.

The Anchor building comprises of 3 floors spanning a total of 1 441m2 (4 units). “Its eye-catching red brick exterior, complimented by sharp black lines, pays homage to its industrial heritage”, says Jack.

The Dispatch building is one of the large buildings in the Media Mill. 8 units are for sale, totalling 1 450m2.

The M&G building is suited to a dynamic, small to medium enterprise. It comprises of 7 units, boasting a striking exterior.

The Restaurant building has access to a captive audience from within the Media Mill and its surrounding areas. It offers modern kitchen facilities coupled with an industrial brick exterior and it spans 2 floors (185m2).

The Glass building is a “showstopper that features clear windows from floor to ceiling. 3 units are available, spanning a total of 461m2”, says Jack.
