Atterbury completes office and gym extension at Castle Gate Precinct

Atterbury’s new fully-let office development and gym at Castle Gate in Pretoria.

Atterbury has completed the development of a fully let 6 000m2 premium-grade office and gym, an extension of the Castle Gate Retail Centre which forms part of the first phase of its Castle Gate precinct in Pretoria.

The centre opened in November 2020 with a mix of convenient retail, restaurants, a dining piazza, a tailor-made kids play area, green space, and a popular night market.

A 2 700m2 Planet Fitness gym, which opened in mid-February 2022, occupies one of the building’s two wings. The other wing comprises of 3 fully let office levels housing national law firm, VDT Attorneys’ 1 700m2 head office, a 1 000m2 regional office for international audit, tax, and advisory firm Mazars, and the 500m2 headquarters of residential property developer, Central Developments.

Castle Gate is a large-scale mixed-use precinct development which is expected to represent a total investment of R6 billion. The development is being rolled out in response to market demand and will ultimately boast 50 000m2 of retail space, 50 000m2 of office space, 18 000m2 of mixed-use business park and 1 300 residential units set in eight hectares of protected green areas with walking and running trails.
