Attacq’s current Chief Operating Officer (COO), Jacqueline van Niekerk has been appointed as the company’s new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) with effect from the 1st of May 2021.
In November 2020, shareholders were advised that CEO Melt Hamman had resigned from the board as a director and as the CEO with effect from the 1st of April 2021.
Jackie holds a BCom from the University of Pretoria with over fifteen years’ experience across residential, retail, commercial, and industrial property development, and asset management in various positions, including that of CEO of a listed property fund.
She joined Attacq as an executive director in the position of COO in April 2017, primarily responsible for the asset management of Attacq’s portfolio.
“Her passion for our clients and their businesses, as well as her industry expertise, strategic thinking and work ethic makes her the ideal person to lead Attacq into the future. I am excited to be working with Jackie as we grow the company and create value for our shareholders”, said Pierre Tredoux, Chairperson of Attacq.
