Trinity Projects offers a very exclusive development on Murray Road in Durbanville – 5th on Murray – to only seven privileged potential purchasers. Erik Joubert, Managing Director of Trinity Projects, explains what makes this development so exclusive.

“5th on Murray is unique in the sense of its location on this excellent site on Murray Road in Durbanville’s Secondary CBD. It fronts beautifully North onto a public open space greenbelt, effectively allowing for a great sense of openness, commanding breathtaking views over the neighbourhood and beyond. The seven elegant double-storey homes that we have on offer are very spacious – each in excess of 232 m2 – and have private landscaped gardens. The level of sophistication in each home lends it a grand presence that includes beautiful finishes such as a designer kitchen, high ceilings and 2.4m high internal doors. Combining a clean, modern sensibility with historic design values, we have carefully considered every detail at 5th on Murray.”

In terms of the Trinity brief, the homes were skilfully designed by BPAS Architecture, combining subtle Georgian influences with understated contemporary convenience. LeRoy Viljoen, Trinity Development Director, describes the design: “5th on Murray is a fresh variation on a typical utilitarian sectional title design, where space optimisation was addressed successfully and a scheme was created with a sense of place rather than mere space creation. We incorporated an internal courtyard in each home, providing not only adequate private outdoor space but creating an environment where natural light and ventilation is provided for each portion of interior space, seamlessly incorporating the exterior with the interior”.

“During the design process the end user enjoyed top priority, which led to a simple and humanist design rather than a panache scheme with the intention to celebrate itself. Strong familiar elements of rhythm and symmetry together with sensitivity towards human scale resulted in a design that will enjoy popularity and high demand in an already established green neighbourhood.”

The seven designer homes at 5th on Murray are priced from R3 465 000 (including VAT), and each features the following: downstairs – kitchen (with separate scullery) that is open-plan to lounge area, family room and dining room. Two sets of aluminium doors open onto the internal courtyard while another two sets open onto the patio and private garden. Each home also has an automated double garage with direct access into the entrance foyer, which includes a downstairs guest cloakroom.

Upstairs there are three large bedrooms: the main bedroom with full en suite (bath, shower and his & hers basins) and walk-in dressing room as well as access to a balcony with pergola, and another two bedrooms with built in cupboards, plus a sizeable study or craft area and a full family bathroom.

Other specifications include free-standing ovens by Smeg, wall-mounted toilets by Duravit and Geberit and Hansgrohe sanitaryware.

The complete development is fully walled and landscaped with a central remote-controlled vehicle access gate directly off Murray Street.

Adds Joubert: “5th on Murray allows owners the opportunity to enjoy an upmarket boutique lifestyle with quick access to all of the local amenities. It is a walk from the centre of Durbanville, with its hospital, specialist shops and boutiques, restaurants and coffee shops, art galleries and golf club, and other commercial and professional enterprises. It is also close to Cape Town airport, major city attractions, the beaches along the West coast and of course the Durbanville Wine Route.”

Infrastructure construction has already commenced, with completion of the project scheduled for February 2017.
