After many years of being unoccupied and allowed to become covered with natural vegetation including several large trees, two plots that were originally part of the old Bethel Farm, on which the Avignon security estate in Hout Bay was developed, have been zoned and are for sale through Cape Waterfront Estates. These are the last remaining vacant plots to be made available at Avignon.
The plots cover 1194m2 and 1006m2 and are both priced at R3,3 million.
“Those who buy here”, said Margie Mackenzie, a director of Cape Waterfront Estates, “will be obliged to build within seven months of transfer and to complete building within eight months of the start of construction. Sewerage and water connections are already in place”.
“With its panoramic views of Hout Bay valley, the sea and surrounding mountains” said Mackenzie, “Avignon has become recognised as one of the most prestigious and sought-after residential areas of Hout Bay. In many people’s view there is no better address in the valley. Those who buy here will benefit from the fact that other houses in the estate are well established with magnificent gardens and enjoy exceptional security, with a guarded entrance and 24/7 patrols.”
