Developers of the new world-class R950 million Springs Mall at Blue Crane Eco Park today announced Planet Fitness JustGym will join the exciting line-up at this landmark new regional shopping centre that opens 16 March 2017.
When the 48,000sqm Springs Mall opens next March, it will become the only major mall in Springs, Ekurhuleni. Likewise, Planet Fitness JustGym will become the first and only major branded gym in its area.
Springs Mall is a joint venture between Blue Crane Eco Mall (Pty) Ltd, leading shopping centre developers and leasing specialists Flanagan & Gerard Property Development & Investment, JSE-listed retail focused REIT Vukile Property Fund and Murinda Investments, which is part of the Giuricich Bros Group. It realizes the vision of the Springs-based D’Arrigo family to develop a large mall for Springs.
Springs Mall’s anchor retailers, Woolworths, Checkers, Pick n Pay and Edgars, will be accompanied by a comprehensive line-up of exciting retail brands, concepts, and leisure options, now including the 1,800sqm top-name branded gym.

Planet Fitness JustGym at Springs Mall will offer world-class equipment and experienced friendly staff to provide budget-conscious training with the high standards of The Planet Fitness Group. It will feature rows and rows of cardio, weights and strength training equipment, group exercises and the latest craze in functional training, Cross Training.
The Planet Fitness JustGym concept comes without unnecessary frills, fuss and expensive extras, but, at Springs Mall, it offers gym-goers a whole lot more than your standard health club.
Gerard says: “The new gym will feature a spectacular glass façade, a highlight of the mall’s design, which will give members sweeping views across the adjacent wetlands to enjoy while they exercise.”
Visitors will enjoy the mall’s generous, secure parking and easy access off the N17 highway and Wit and Jan Smuts Roads. And, thanks to the major improvements to the roads around the mall that form part of its development, going to the gym has never been easier.
In addition, Platinum Fitness will open directly next to the gym, offering a wide range of fitness accessories, clothes, supplements and a smoothie bar.
What’s more, the gym is right above Springs Mall’s Food Court, making it easy for gym-goers to grab their post-workout morning coffee, hydrate, or fuel up with food-on-the-go.
