A new retail centre is about to open on the Waterfall development, and it’s perfect for anyone looking for something a little bit ‘different’ to the usual shopping mall experience.
With the Keith Kirsten nursery as the core attraction, along with other unique outlets, the Waterfall Wilds Centre is aimed at creating a leisure destination for families. There will be two restaurants, a furniture and decor shop and a place for kids to play.
Willie Vos, CEO of Waterfall Management and Operating Company says; “The Waterfall Wilds Centre boasts 2,900 square meters of retail space, which is encapsulated by a unique design approach that is a little less conventional than what you will find in the rest of Waterfall. The idea is that the building blends into the environment – taking into account the environmental features of its setting, surrounded by grasslands on three sides of the centre, with a great view of the Jukskei River – something to bring visitors a little closer to nature while shopping.”
The Centre has been created around the nursery as its central attraction. Keith Kirsten is a celebrity horticulturalist and this is his first involvement in a retail operation for more than a decade.
Says Keith Kirsten; “I was asked by Waterfall to have a presence on the development and I was delighted to oblige with the first Keith Kirsten franchise, operated by the Goodwin family of the Peebles Group. I believe that Waterfall is in need of some greening, including large trees and sustainable gardens, as is found in any other well developed suburb, and we hope to assist those living here, to achieve this.”
The Waterfall Wilds Centre will have its grand opening on Friday the 08th July 2016. Many of the stores are running special offers in line with this opening.
“We want Waterfall Wilds to be an outdoor centre with a typically South African look and feel that offers visitors a unique shopping experience. We invite shoppers to come and experience the Centre and of course the special offers available on the opening day;” concludes Vos.
Waterfall Wilds is opposite Waterfall Corner and close to the Waterfall Valley Estate.
