Property Point, a Growthpoint Properties initiative, is hosting a To The Point live workshop focusing on developing sales skills within small businesses.
Aimed at assisting entrepreneurs and SMEs, the Sales Strategies workshop will take place at the Southern Sun Hotel in Hyde Park on Thursday, 21 April 2016.
The Sales Strategies workshop will be an interactive session focusing on client relationships, with guest speaker Paul Hartnady, CEO of Profitlab, who has over 35 years of experience in general management, coaching and business advisory mentoring across various sectors.
Established in 2008, Growthpoint’s award-winning enterprise development initiative has been instrumental in creating over 1,141 jobs generating over R451 million in procurement opportunities for almost 100 small businesses that participated in their two-year incubation programme.
“Property Point focuses on three key elements: minimizing the risk perception of small businesses in the property industry, building solid relationships and assisting entrepreneurs to establish a good reputation,” says Shawn Theunissen, Head of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) at Growthpoint Properties and the Head of Property Point.
With the determined small companies on its programme reporting revenue growth of 54.5% to date, Property Point nurtures small business entrepreneurs to become sustainable, relevant and competitive companies in the industry.
Theunissen adds that the Property Point team is committed to empowering entrepreneurs with the skills and training needed to succeed in the property industry.
The workshop will address the development of these skills and techniques, provide practical insight for implementing them, and facilitate a question and answer opportunity for those in attendance to discuss the relevance to their particular business situations.
“Knowing how to approach clients, and what techniques will create successful and mutually beneficial negotiations is an essential skill for all small business entrepreneurs,” says Theunissen.
The Property Point ‘Sales Strategies for Small Businesses’ workshop will take place at the Southern Sun Hotel, Hyde Park, on 21 April 2016. It will start promptly at 5:45pm and finish at 8:30pm with drinks and finger snacks being served. The investment cost is R100.00 and as seating is limited, advance booking is essential and can be made by emailing info@propertypoint.org.za.
