Some adjustments to transfer duty rates and value brackets regarding property transactions after 1 March 2016 were announced in the 2016 national Budget, tabled in the South African Parliament on Wednesday, 24 February 2016. These adjustments to transfer duty are to impact only the upper end of the residential property market.
