Revamps and new brands for Hyde Park Corner this festive season

Newly Revamped Exclusive Books at Hyde Park Corner.

Driven by a dynamic tenant mix of exclusive global and local brands Hyprop’s Hyde Park Corner is the definitive destination centre for style-conscious, boutique shoppers wishing to access the very best in luxury; be it conventional goods, or merchandise which follows more eclectic fashion and lifestyle trends.

Hyprop Regional Executive, Nicole Greenstone says that “the centre has seen brand launches and store upgrades in 2015, which further reinforces Hyde Park Corner’s position as the luxury shopping destination of choice.”

Revamped brands

December 2015 is an exciting time with brands showcasing their revamped stores, offering a refreshed and improved customer experience. Exclusive Books, Bella Luna, Sunglass Hut, Keedo, Ronnie@Hyde Park, L’Occitane en Provence and Spilhaus all boast fresh revamped stores.

The recently revamped Exclusive Books store features a new tapas bar and coffee shop called Social Kitchen & Bar, run by Australian chef Russell Armstrong who has worked at three 3-star Michelin restaurants in London and France. Architects Silvio Rech and Lesley Carsten have designed a striking industrial chic space decorated with mismatched Moroccan tiles and gold leaf, setting the tone for an airy restaurant with glorious views over Johannesburg North.

New brands

Offering shoppers an even broader range of high-end brands, new additions to the Hyde Park Corner tenant mix include fashion brands G-Star Raw Women and Cloth & Label, cellphone and tablet service/repair centre iFix, and food deli Fuel Food.

G-Star Raw Women is the first G-Star Women’s standalone store in the country. The single-minded approach by the G-Star brand has led to many denim ‘firsts’ including the introduction of ‘luxury denim for the streets,’ the positioning of raw, untreated denim as a wearable and desirable material and the evolution of a distinctive denim silhouette.

Cloth & Label is a unique retail concept brought to South Africa by The Scottish Group, which offers wardrobe essentials in black, white, navy and denim for both Men and Women.

Fuel Food is a high-end food retail and deli outlet that offers a wide range of health and artisanal products. They turn healthy eating into art, offering customers a tasty and fascinating food experience that is both healthy and sustainable.

Pop – Up shop

Three exciting pop-up stores are on offer for a limited period only. Shoppers can visit international fashion retailer Superdry’s pop-up shop located on the Middle Level to purchase their trademark products which combine vintage Americana styling with Japanese inspired graphics. The Levison’s pop-up offers shoppers an opportunity to purchase gorgeous Hugo Boss merchandise. The Ryan Keys pop-up offers innovative and dramatic garments that fit the body, soul and personality of his clientele.
