Balfour Mall, The Princess Project and Lorna Maseko need your help

The matric dance is an important occasion in the lives of many young people, but not everyone has the opportunity or the means to dress up and feel special. This year, Balfour Mall will be calling on its shoppers to assist The Princess Project, which relies on public donations of used outfits to benefit less privileged matriculants.

If you have an evening outfit or dress that you no longer wear or which is simply taking up space in your wardrobe, then please consider donating it to The Princess Project. You can drop off your outfits at Balfour Mall’s Centre Management office during the Matric Dance Expo, between 26 and 29 August. Donations can be made after the Expo as well.

Be sure to make a trip and see what’s on offer at the Expo, which will showcase Balfour Mall’s large fashion, jewellery and beauty offering and will include a not-to-be-missed competition to win two matric dance packages valued at R12 000 each. The school with the most entries also stands a chance to win a celebrity DJ for their special night. The Mall will also seek to promote up and coming designers who will be exhibiting for free.
