PURPOSE
Your key focus will be on sourcing new transactions in property finance residential development and
identifying and investing in opportunities related to property investment. It will include management of these
transactions to their conclusion for the purpose of maximising unfunded income.
QUALIFICATIONS
Relevant Degree in Commerce or Building Science, Quantity Surveying, Property, Law, or related fields.
EXPERIENCE
At least five years’ working experience in the property /property finance industry; in client acquisition
and sales, together with property development, project management and investment experience.
The ability to deal and negotiate with clients in a competitive arena is essential.
OUTPUTS
Financial Performance
Achieve and / or exceed financial targets, which includes asset growth and investment returns.
Deal Creation and Lead Generation
Continuously look for creative approaches to put deals on the book.
Have adequate insight into financing instruments to create deals.
Go out of the way, but within risk management parameters, to ensure deals are booked.
Identify property related opportunities in the region.
Gain agreement with client/partner to co-invest.
Prepare investment/credit papers for submission to the Investment/Credit Committee for approval: This
must include analysis of risk, all financial and technical aspects and market dynamics.
Once investment returns have been achieved and/or exceeded, to prepare investment papers for
submission to the Investment Committee, to motivate for the exit from the investments at the appropriate
returns.
Deal Management and Legacy Business
Develop effective operational risk management and compliance strategies within the region.
Develop and maintain an effective MIS tracking system to monitor the Residential Development projects.
Continuously assess the risk embedded within the environment and the deal.
Manage risk and derive the maximum risk and return scenario.
To manage current investments and/or developments to align with Property Partners focus and strategy.
Attend site, planning and management meetings as a Bank/Investment representative.
Apply appropriate follow up mechanisms to mitigate investment risk.

Develop and maintain strong client relationships within the region.
Add value in dealing with clients.
Manage and monitor development loan projects to achieve maximum opportunity and efficiency within
chosen market.
