Job Purpose:
To manage a portfolio of key accounts, ensuring that new property finance transactions are brought to the table, that existing property finance clients are maintained, and consequently that relationship based business potential is optimised ensuring that maximum profitability / return is derived for the bank. To ensure that nedbank corporate property finance remains the dominant player in the property finance market through innovative deal making and product structuring.
Key Performance Areas:
FINANCIAL PERFORMANCE:
Achieve and / or exceed financial targets by effective acquisition of commercial and industrial property finance deals and management of the book / portfolio.
DEAL MANAGEMENT:
Manage the entire deal process– RM’s responsibility for the deal ends on disbursement, not approval.
Ensure that the relevant research, investigation and analysis of financials, market and industry information is provided on each deal.
Drive the efficient compilation of documents and processing of new deal admin.
Prepare loan papers (motivations, applications, etc.).
Present deals at credit, ensuring the necessary approvals are achieved.
Source any additional loan documentation required by credit.
All LOG’s to be signed together with admin.
All LOG’s to be presented by RM to client.
Manage loan and portfolio restructuring, interest rate fixes, suretyship changes and further loan changes (essentially GMA’s).
Main stakeholder commitment when structuring the deal (legal/credit).
CLIENT RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT:
Build and maintain existing relationship with established clients within region, retaining and optimising existing business opportunities. Add value in dealing with clients.
Provide internal and external client satisfaction by ensuring operational excellence in dealing with client queries
COMPLIANCE AND RISK MONITORING:
Identify inherent and potential risk in the property market within the region.
Continuously evaluate and mitigate the credit risk embedded within the environment and deal, to derive the maximum risk and return situation
CROSS SELL:
Identify new business opportunities within different divisions of Nedbank.
SELF DEVELOPMENT AND POSITIVE INFLUENCE OF OTHERS:

Essential Qualifications:
Matric Certificate
Preferred Qualifications:
Tertiary qualification (e.g. B.comm; building science; quantity surveying; property; law)
Certifications:
SAPOA/Women’s property network
Job Related Experience:
Property environment; client acquisition and sales; property development; property financing; deal structuring including development loans, equity structuring etc. If no qualification, it is essential to have at least 2 years’ experience working in property financing, with particular emphasis on relationship management.
