The much anticipated opening of the R600 million Heidelberg Mall is on schedule for next month, with top-notch shopping and entertainment set to launch to shoppers, all under one stylish roof.
The 35,000sqm regional Heidelberg Mall is developed by leading national shopping centre developers and investors, Flanagan & Gerard Developments, together with local partners Dissilio Investments. It will officially open on 23 October 2014, bringing a complete, quality and convenient shopping experience right to the doorsteps of Heidelberg residents.
“The excitement is building as Heidelberg Mall nears completion and prepares a grand welcome for shoppers,” says Flanagan & Gerard executive director Patrick Flanagan. “Heidelberg Mall will bring contemporary, convenient shopping to the area that compares favourably with leading malls anywhere in the world. It is designed to be an asset to the region’s consumers and boost the local economy.”
Heidelberg Mall benefits from a prime location at corner of Jacobs Road (R42) and Retief Road. This gives it superb visibility and excellent access for local shoppers. With its position at the Jacobs Road interchange of the N3 highway and its own dedicated on- and off-ramp from the R42, it also offers ideal regional access for Nigel, Balfour, Greylingstad, Villiers and surrounds.
All this makes it easy to pop in to Heidelberg Mall, and visitors will also enjoy free open-air parking.
Jaco M.J. Coetzer, of Dissilio Investments, explains: “Until now, many greater Heidelberg residents left town to do their shopping in larger malls around Johannesburg. This will change with the opening of Heidelberg Mall, which will help keep retail spend in the area and boost the local economy. Importantly, the mall is located and designed to complement the existing Heidelberg CBD, so it will enhance retail choice in the wider area.”
The benefits of the mall’s development have already been recognised by other businesses, showing that Heidelberg Mall is set to be a catalyst for the development of a major commercial hub for the region, community and commuters. A VW dealership opened adjacent to the mall last year.
Adding to its appeal is its retail tenant mix that is tailored to the local market, which comprises approximately 80% middle- to higher-income households.
With an exceptional retail line-up that is tailored to meet local shoppers’ daily needs, and keep them in touch with the latest trends, Heidelberg Mall features an impressive line-up of anchor tenants, comprising Checkers, Game and Woolworths.
This stylish mall has strong fashion variety from Edgars, Ackermans, Fashion World, Foschini, Identity, Ismail’s, Jam Clothing, Jet, Markham, Milady’s, Mr Price, Pandora, Platina Fashion, Pep, Pick ‘n Pay Clothing and Truworths. It will also offer footwear from Rage, Solo Shoes and Tekkie Town, as well as jewellery and accessories from American Swiss, Findings and NWJ.
Making it easy to look good and feel great, Heidelberg Mall will feature Dis-Chem and Clicks as well as Barber Shop, Jewel @ Skin, Obey your body, Princess Hair Salon, Sorbet, Signature Cosmetics and Ralo Cosmetics. It will also offer optometric services from Torga Optical and Value Vision.
Heidelberg Mall dishes up a delicious menu of restaurants and cafes. Shoppers can chose from Cappucino’s, Mugg & Bean, Nino’s, Ocean Basket and Wimpy.
