“Retail is always evolving as consumers shift the goalposts with their latest demands and new trends. Research is important to grow and improve the industry. Our research conference is a sought-after event that furthers our goals of sharing the latest insight and tactics with those keen to dominate the competition and move up in the retail ranks,” says SACSC CEO Amanda Stops.

She adds: “This conference is an incredible opportunity for players in the retail and shopping mall game. Not only will they learn something new and be inspired by the latest opportunities, but meet like-minded professionals too.”

This enlightening, one-day event will be held at the Hilton Hotel, Sandton on Wednesday, April 9. The informative line-up includes presentations from a host of industry captains and innovators, the announcement of this year’s winning research proposal as well as a great networking opportunity.

Speakers include Dirk Nico Prinsloo from Urban Studies, Woolworths’ Errol Solomon and Jaye Sinclair from Burger King. Topics will tackle everything from consumer demographics and evolving technology used by South African retailers, to marketing and merchandising displays.

Stops notes: “This conference continues to grow in popularity, based on its exceptional content and knowledgeable speakers who offer great game plans. This year, delegates can expect even more.”

Broll Property Group’s own keen interest in promoting and growing the African retail property sector supports its sponsorship of the SACSC Research Conference.

“We’re committed to the exciting African retail property market and pleased to play a hand in presenting this prized event – the main objective of which is to share knowledge and experience,” says Malcolm Horne, CEO of Broll Property Group.
