JHI Properties’ fun walk raises funds for NGO, ‘Compass’

In order to raise much-needed funds for Compass, a non-profit organisation which provides care and rehabilitation for abused and homeless women and children, JHI Properties in Johannesburg recently held a fun walk.

Seen at the handover of the donation to Compass and with some of the children within their care are: (back left) Hein Lingenfelder (portfolio manager) and Enica Bauermeister (lease controller) for JHI Properties’ Vukile portfolio, with Chantelle Smit (from Compass) and (front left) Ockert Schenck, JHI Properties marketing assistant.

Compass is the abbreviation for Community Provision & Social Services, an organisation which provides social services through its own registered social workers as well as trained, qualified teachers and care givers for the children within their care, to ensure the best level of education and care giving.

While the proposal to stage the fund-raiser came from the JHI Properties’ Vukile portfolio team, staff from head office enthusiastically embraced the event and the cause – and as a result the company was able to donate just under R8500 through the entrance fee and further generous donations.
