Growthpoint Properties has completed an extensive R10 million warehouse upgrade for Sasko, a division of Pioneer Foods, one of South Africa’s leading food and beverage companies.

This project comprised a 2,500sqm redevelopment and construction of a new 900sqm canopy at the 20,122sqm Sasko warehouse at 10 Richard Carte Road in Mobeni, Durban.
Sasko first became a client of Growthpoint in 2007. Leon van Rooyen of Growthpoint Durban says: “The expansion demonstrates Growthpoint’s confidence in Sasko as a client. It is great to see how Sasko has grown and continues to succeed, even in tough economic times.”
The project has solidified this business relationship. Following the upgrade, a new five-year lease with a five-year option was signed with Sasko with for the entire property.
Growthpoint is the largest South African REIT and a JSE ALSI Top 40 Index company. Growthpoint owns and manages 393 properties in South Africa, 44 properties in Australia through its investment in GOZ and a 50% interest in the properties at V&A Waterfront, Cape Town.
