PGP works for breast health on Mandela Day

In honour of Mandela Day (18 July 2013), Pam Golding Properties’ (PGP’s) Athlone and Elsies River office supported local NGO “Pink Drive” in a bid to spread the word about breast health.  PGP staff assisted close to ninety women who came into Pink Drive’s Belgravia Road office for a free breast examination or more information on breast health, offering refreshments and assisting with the flow of patients and filling out of forms.

Pink Drive is dedicated to educating women about breast cancer, and aims to save lives by promoting regular self-examination and early detection of the disease.  It pioneered the first mobile mammography units in South Africa, and has educated close to 60 000 women about breast health, as well as conducting over 4700 free mammograms and more than 46 500 free breast exams.
