Situated within easy reach of the thriving industrial hub of Prospecton and only 20 minutes’ drive from the centre of Durban, the Bluff – as the name suggests – is a prominent, natural landmark of the city and an area which is perhaps underrated by those who are not familiar with all it has to offer.

Homes in the Fynnland area include a number of residents employed by Transnet, Portnet and Engen which are situated nearby, with buyers seeking homes mainly at the lower end of the market between R300 000 and R800 000. This area includes the Fynnland combined sports club, an Olympic size swimming pool and Bluff bowling club.
Adds Rajah: “There is news that the naval base is to be reopened on Salisbury Island in the Durban Harbour, which is to participate in anti-piracy operations. Further positives for the area – which are expected to attract additional home buyers and rental tenants to the area – include proposals for the new dig-out port on the site of the former airport.”
