The Property Foundation is a section 21 company established in 2009 by Gary Fisher, co-founder and former managing director of CBS Property Group. Its purpose is to assist public benefit organisations in South Africa with the development of buildings and accommodation that are required by them in order to effect the delivery of their core services to the communities which they serve.
The Property Foundation provides property and project management services – including assistance with the securing of project funding – and as far as possible aims to facilitate local community skills development by including local tradesmen and professionals in the development process. In addition, the Property Foundation focuses on environmentally responsible construction methods and materials and will take into account carbon footprint when possible.
